  「自由大道」很難想像這麼陽光的名字,卻是一個這麼沈重的話題,看到那些受壓迫的心靈,心裡真的好難過,也為了他們付出的代價而心痛落淚。這部片子提醒我,身為一個社會工作者,要與這些還不能見容於社會的人們站在一起。就如同下圖NASW的海報所宣示的內容一樣,社會工作者需要具備好多:要有理想,也要有付諸行動的勇氣及智慧,有能力去扶持弱勢,也有能力去宣導倡議,才夠資格去包容接納不同的生命,完成社會進步創新的使命。看到這樣電影跟海報一樣,真的是一種好大的力量,提醒我該堅持的目標,也讓我對社會工作的愛及理想又被燃起,不要因為現實而磨損!如同MILK把那些受苦的人放在肩上,為他們站立,不管多少人顛倒是非,任意妄為,仍舊奮力帶給他們希望。
 
  我真的很汗顏,也很自責,到現在為止,我都沒有為他們做過些什麼。從今天這部電影,我才感受到我的熱情仍然被教條、理智所禁錮著。我深深的愧疚,因為我的緘默,我的「潔身自愛」(?),其實是一種默許,袖手旁觀許多「沒有傷害別人的人」,或是「生來就只愛同性者」被迫害。有多少次我也很想要改變他們,期待他們有一天會突然醒過來,不要再做這些叛道離經(?)的事,有多少次我只是因為害怕別人(甚至是自己)的眼光,而不敢為他們發聲!片中那種似是而非的言論,就在一些教條主義的包裝之下,迫害著那些無辜的人。我自己再深沈一點去想像,若有一天我的面前出現了兩個--男男,女女,相擁而吻,我是不是可以接受,或替他們高興?我不知道,我想我還需要再開闊一點,讓自己不要為他們憂愁。但是,人是相互尊重的,我相信我自己不會為了感覺不舒服,而否定他們生而為人的權利。
 
  其實我跟片中的人一樣疑惑,基督徒憑什麼迫害同性戀者? 神不是要我們愛別人如自己嗎?「同性戀者」沒有害過任何人,卻要躲躲藏藏,害怕別人的眼光,甚至被矯正。或許我們只是害怕跟我們不一樣的人,所以我們就把他們標籤起來,要不就把他們變成跟我們一樣,要不就把他們置於死地。難怪,感到他們就像二次大戰前的猶太人一樣,他們要把自己保護很好以免遭害!我很幸運,在生命中,除了白色恐怖還有一點點的記憶以外,很少被逼迫,但透過本片,卻可以深深的體會到他們的害怕,無力及絕望。這麼痛苦的狀況下,還要謹守自己的道德,維持自己在愛中生活,這是多麼不容易的事呀!我想太多的時候,因為距離及想像,讓我們害怕或抗拒別人。其實,不論是怎麼樣的人,當我們很近,很仔細的去看他們時,我們才會發現他們也就是人,跟我們一樣有人性,當然也有值得敬佩的地方。
 
  美國獨立宣言中:人人都生而平等,廣泛的被引用,也是一切追求民主自由的政權的精神指標。自由及人權都不是只用來喊口號的,必需奠基於社會整體的正直善良才能實現。「同性戀者」他們又做錯什麼,神豈賦與我們審判的權柄了嗎?因為我們縱容所謂的正義的使者,神的傳人,假正義之名,行不法之事。我好慶幸我不是那種基督徒,主也最討厭只守規條律法,對人施逼迫、又自以為是的法利賽人。路11:46 耶穌說、 你們律法師也有禍了.因為你們把難擔的擔子、放在人身上、自己一個指頭卻不肯動。在這個混亂的世代,肩負這些使命,要繼續往前走,求 主賜給我足夠的智慧,保守我在真理的光中,不要墜入撒旦的網羅。也請你給我足夠的耐力,去肩負起你放在我心中的願望。阿門。
